Hours: 05H00 – 14H00 Mon – Saturday
About the Role
The suitable candidate will have experienced in managing and organizing operational staff. Meticulous in checking quantities and recording stock correctly.
Key Responsibilities:
Stock Receipts
- Checking all stock received against documents
- Liaise with night shift regarding stock received
- Report on discrepancies, adhering to the formal process
- GRN checks for any mistakes and give instructions to rectify immediately
Dispatching of Orders
- Ensure orders correspond with the removal notes
- Ensure all stock dispatched has been booked and removal note received
- Ensure orders are packed securely before dispatch
- Ensure that orders are delivered promptly according to the system
- Managing forklift drivers
Cold room & Stock Control
- Ensure cold room stock is managed and sent to cold room correctly
- Co-ordinate cold room stock with salesmen, what goes where and what comes out for sale the next day
- Positioning cold room stock as per salespersons preference
- Liaise with our staff, and market cold room staff to ensure smooth operations
- Report on cold room temperature and report if not running at the correct temperatures, 2 x daily check on market and floor cold rooms
Equipment & Pallets
- Managing pallets, keeping inventory
- Managing pallet jacks
- Managing Chep pallets, proper stock keeping
- Retrieving pallets from buyers
- Ensure forklift drivers do check list on forklifts,
General
- Assisting with all aspects of operations as and if required
- Keeping the dispatch area clean and neat
- Ensure equipment and forklifts are kept clean
- Adhere to the company rules and regulations
Requirements
- Punctual
- Good communication skills
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Uncompromised work ethics.
- Available to work from 05:00 am
- Valid driver’s licence
- National Senior Certificate is the minimum qualification requirement.
